Pour into my Heart

My heart cries out to you to finally be freed
It has been bruised and scarred from the
unforgiving lashes this world has dealt.  
From my disobedience to my unfaithfulness
I was destined to bare these wounds. 
These were words I once spoke of until the
day you poured life into my heart. 
Your never ending love has bestowed upon
me a new and wonderful heart.
With this heart, you pour into it; love, faith,
strength, purity, and hope. 
Such beautiful and miraculous things you have
given me that were once foreign. 
You poured in my heart strength so that I 
can withstand the trials of this world. 
You poured in my heart purity, so that I 
can be a light to the world.
You poured in my heart faith so that during
my storms I would stand firm on your promises.
You poured in my heart love so that I could 
bless others with the love you've shown me. 
You poured in my heart hope so that I can
patiently wait for my cup to overflow. 
Jesus, my Lord and Savior, I ask that you
continue to pour your mighty love and mercy
upon this new heart. 
For this heart is not my own because it belongs
to you, Lord. 
Blessed be your name Lord, continue to pour
life into my heart.

The Heavy Hand That Frees

How marvelous and instructive is your Hand, Lord. It’s the same gentle Hand that puts my heart at ease and its the same mighty Hand that rebukes me. O’ where would I be without your Heavy Hand, Father. A lost and miserable man would I be; wandering through  the desert with no hope in sight seeking for water and not finding it.  O’ how strong is your conviction when your Heavy Hand is upon me; such a heavy, intense weight is placed on my soul.  How my flesh wants to ignore, defy, and flee it, but Your  Holy Spirit whispers to me that I be still and come back to You. Taiwan Collage (1)

Hey there folks. I've taken a break on the poems for a while; however, I will try to get back into them soon. In the meantime, I've decided to post up some pictures. Along with writing spiritual poetry, I enjoy taking pictures of God's glorious work in nature, architect, food, etc. I did mention that I will be doing more with my blog page so this is one way I will expand on it.
